The latest figures highlight that unemployment rates have fallen.
The latest unemployment statistics were revealed today from the Office of National Statistics (ONS). The up to date figures show a decrease in the amount of people unemployed since the end of last year.
We’ve broken down the latest statistics for you:
- The unemployment total has dropped by 14,000
- The joblessness total now stands at 2.50 million
- The unemployment rate of 7.8 per cent
- The number of people aged 16 and over in work was 29.73 million
- The total pay (including bonuses) rose by only 1.4 per cent year-on-year
